Recipe Idea: Ethiopian Spiced Teff Bread
Makes 1 loaf | Prep time: 20 mins | Cook time: 50 mins
Ingredients:
200g Outback Harvest Brown Teff Flour
200g gluten-free flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp ground cumin
2 tbsp honey
300ml warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp yeast
Method:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: Brown Teff Flour, gluten-free flour, baking soda, salt, coriander, and cumin.
In a separate bowl, dissolve the honey in warm water, then add the yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture, then add olive oil and stir until well combined.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool before slicing. Enjoy with your favorite dips and spreads.
